The A Cappella Choir serves as the official ambassador for ALA, singing at churches throughout the state as well as community and school special events. The choir sings in the major concerts at ALA each year and participates in an annual National or Regional Choral Festival each year. The A Cappella performs sacred music as well as secular pieces with choreography.

 ALA's Concert Choir meets three times a week in order to prepare for the school concerts throughout the year. In addition, the choir sings for chapel services on a regular basis. Students who wish to be selected for A Cappella Choir are encouraged to participate in Concert Choir.

The ALA Band practices five days a week and performs in a number of concerts throughout the year. Band members have the opportunity to participate in various events such as solo/ensemble contests and festivals. The band also serves as the pep band at selected athletic events. There are opportunities for smaller groups to play for chapel, concerts, or to provide instrumental accompaniment for the choirs.
