The Vision 2020 Gala was an inspirational event thanks to the tremendous generosity of our ALA friends.

Alumni played a huge role as Master of Ceremonies, Andrew Unkefer, and special guest, Dr. Daniel Johnson, shared special memories of their time at ALA and how their lives were impacted by this ministry. Alumni in attendance echoed those same sentiments.

We are grateful for a sold-out event, unique donations, and generous supporters who made this night a tremendous success! Thanks to all of you who participated, we raised just shy of $60,000 for our locker room renovation project.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,  to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.  (Eph. 3:20-21)

    Our Goal
  • The goal for this event is to support ALA students by raising $65,000 for campus improvements, including a needed upgrade to our locker rooms.

    We are honoring our alumni who graduated from ALA in years ending in 5 or 0 as our special Gala guests. Alumni in the classes of 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 may purchase 2 tickets (for yourself and a guest) at this discounted "reunion" rate. Enjoy a locally-sourced delicious meal, plus a silent and live auction, entertainment, and an evening of fun!

    Honoring our Alumni
  • In honor of our alumni celebrating a reunion in 2020, all alumni who graduated from ALA in years ending in 5 or 0 can attend the 2020 Gala for half-price. That's right, 50% off for our ALA reunion-year alumni and a guest! Purchase here.

    Additionally, we will make every attempt to seat you with graduates from your class. So round up your classmates and have a 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, or 35-year reunion at the Gala! We'll do all the planning!

    Dietary Options
    The dinner buffet is gluten and dairy free, with the exception of the bread. There is a vegetarian entree option. Servers will be on hand to answer dietary or allergy questions.

    Suggested Attire
  • The suggested dress is wedding attire. Ladies, show us your flair in a cute dress. Gentlemen, bring your style too, or ditch the tie and just wear a collared shirt. Dressed up but comfortable is the vision for the night.

    Student Participation/ Volunteering
  • Each student/family is encouraged to participate in the Gala in any of these ways: 

    1. ASK FOR DONATIONS of items for our auction.  
    2. DONATE CASH towards our Travel Excursion for 2  to be auctioned in the live auction at the Gala on March 7. Donate here. (Select fund "other" and type "Gala" in the comments.)

    3. DONATE ITEMS —be creative! Need donation ideas? Take a look at this list.
     
    4. VOLUNTEER.  Adult volunteers earn one point toward the Student Competition if you sign up by Feb. 20. Volunteer here.

    5. ATTEND. Your ticket purchase will count toward the Student Competition if tickets are purchased by Feb. 20.
