Alysha Naumann, ALA class of 2005, married John Bergsma on March 9, 2012. 


Erin (Gray) Hulse, ALA class of 1999, finished her first year as varsity coach for women's softball at St. Croix Lutheran High School in Minneapolis/St.Paul, Minnesota in 2012. Erin's husband teaches at St. Croix Middle School, located on the high school campus. She was recently interviewed by a local news station about one of her players recovering from an injury.

Ian Meshay, ALA class of 2011, was inducted in April 2012 into Arizona State University's Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Medical Honors Fraternity. He was also chosen as Pledge of the year and received a Princeton Review MCAT Course Scholarship.


Ryan MacPherson, Ph.D., ALA class of 1993, and professor at Bethany Lutheran College, recently published two books. Both are for sale, but please note that the author receives no royalties; all net proceeds support the nonprofit mission of the Hausvater Project.

William Unkefer, ALA class of 2009, is a member of Pointless of Point Loma Nazarene University. This men's a cappella choir competed at the University of Arizona on February 25 at the International Championship of Collegiate A Capella (the only international tournament that showcases the performing art of student a cappella singing). 

Billy Walters, ALA Class of 2008 and current ASU student, along with three ASU classmates created G3Box, a non-profit organization focused on converting steel shipping containers into medical grade clinics that can be shipped to different areas around the world. In December 2011, G3Box won Entrepeneur Magazine's College Entrepeneur of 2011 award!

Justin Salzwedel, ALA class of 2006, has been lauded on air, in print, and throughout the Boise State basketball program

for his commitment to the team, his character, and his positive attitude. He finished his Senior basketball season at Boise State, playing in the NCAA's CBI tournament.

Jessica Burmeister, ALA Class of 2003, married Seth Kock on July 1, 2011. They reside in Milwaukee, where Jess is teaching 3rd grade at Siloah Lutheran School. Seth is a member of Koine', a traveling Christian band who performed at ALA last year. They just released their latest album, The Vine.
