2.10.2017 WRESTLING STATE CHAMPION
Weston Milnes-Bowers is the 152 lb. wrestling state champion!
The Coyote wrestling team finished the season strong with a 4th place finish at State. Weston Milnes-Bowers captured his first state championship. Tanner Borneman, Isai Barajas, Blake Wene, Brandon Garcia, and Jake Borneman all finished in 3rd place. Shawn Miller and Ben Althoff were one match away from being state placers.
WRESTLING SECTION CHAMPS
2.4.2017 Coyote Wrestling won their first sectional championship on Feb. 4 competing with only 11 of 14 weight classes filled. Coyote wrestlers did an outstanding job, with 10 of the 11 wrestlers who competed going to State.
The February 3, 2017 boys varsity basketball win at Bourgade Catholic marked Coach Doug Meyer's 400th win at ALA! Please join us in congratulating him on this incredible milestone!

9.12.2016 - AIA Luncheon, Prescott, AZ
Mr. Doug Meyer, who concluded twenty years as ALA’s Athletic Director last May, received two awards from the state’s association for athletic directors: the 2A Conference Athletic Director of the Year 2015-2016 and the Distinguished Service Award in recognition of length of service and special accomplishments and contributions. Congratulations to Ruth Buchholz—the AIA 1A-3A Scholar-Athlete Award winner! Ruth was one of two females from 1A-3A chosen as finalists for the Scholar-Athlete Award. The award is based on academics, athletic accomplishments, sportsmanship and community service. View photos.
Both were honored at the AIA Champions Luncheon on May 16, where the actual recipient was also revealed. The ceremony took place at University of Phoenix Stadium and was broadcast live on azpreps365.com.
