2018-19 Coach's Report:

Congratulations to the wrestling team for winning its 3rd consecutive Section championship, defeating 14 other teams.  Twelve Coyotes qualified for state: Joza (1st), Cam, Ethan, Cole, Billy, Ben, Jake (1st), Gavin, Brandon (1st), Daniel (1st), Eva, and Hannah. In the state tournament, the Coyotes finished 7th overall. 
Seniors Jake and Brandon finish their careers in the Arizona record books.  Brandon is now ranked 3rd as the all-time winningest wrestler in Arizona history and Jake ranks 5th.  In addition, this year Jake set the state record with most pins in a season with 49.  Great work Coyotes! 

Congratulations to Jake who was selected to the 2018-19 azcentral sports All-Arizona wrestling team! (Only 7 wrestlers in the entire state receive this top honor.)

Results from the D-IV State Wrestling Tournament:

• The team placed 7th!
• Jake - State Champ! (undefeated on the season) Jake set a new Arizona record this year - with 49   
    pins in one season. He also finished his career with the 5th most wins on record in Arizona history.
• Brandon - 3rd. He also finished his career with the 3rd most wins on record in Arizona history.
• Gavin - 3rd
• Eva - 4th (first ever girls division)
• Joza - 5th

When will orders arrive from Grads Photography?
Orders that are placed on or before the original portrait day are delivered approximately 2-3 weeks after the original picture day. Orders that are placed late (after the orders have been delivered to the school) take approximately 3-4 weeks to process and send to the school or to your home, depending on the option you chose.

Individual Scoring

Take Down: When one wrestler gains control of the match

Escape: When the wrestler that is not in control gets up and the match is neutral again
Reversal: When the wrestler that is on bottom reverses the one on top to take control

Near Fall: When one wrestler has the other one almost pinned

Team Scoring

Decision: When a wrestler wins by 1-7 points

Major Decision: When a wrestler wins by 8-14 points

Technical Fall: When a wrestler wins by more than 15 points

Pin: Wrestler wins by pinning the other
